Mary Astor Grace (Mary Astor Smithe), a Wichita, Kansas-based singer-songwriter, crafts soul-stirring anthems from the forge of life’s fiercest fires, blending prairie-soul melodies with gospel-rooted grit. 

 

At almost 20 years into a marriage tested by Smithe family betrayal and breakthrough, Mary’s voice rises like dawn after the darkest night, echoing Psalm 30:5: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Her music isn’t just heard—it’s a lifeline, freely given to all who seek healing.

 

As co-pilot through her husband Tim’s decade of turbulence —a saga of stolen legacies, grief, loses and divine restoration—Mary channeled their transformation into songs born from prayer vigils and quiet prairie sunrises she weaves vulnerability with unyielding hope, drawing from the couple’s unwavering anchor in Christ. Her debut single, Prairie Waters, launches the soundtrack for their upcoming documentary Road to Redemption – a raw chronicle of resilience, faith, and God’s faithfulness in the storm.
